"III CECs Practical Course: Mouse sperm cryopreservation according to the Jackson Laboratory and Nakagata CARD methods"

Duration: Approximately 3 h.
Time: 09:00 to 12:00 h.
Places: 15 students. In case of over-subscription there will be a selection procedure.

Aim: To learn the mouse sperm cryopreservation method used at Jackson Laboratory.
Audience: The course is aimed at all those that are interested in setting up this technique in their own laboratories.
Course Plan: 1.-Theoretical introduction and handing out of the Technical Guide.
2.- Demonstration of epididymal dissection.
3.-Sperm cryopreservation carried out by each of the trainees according to the protocols discussed.
4.-Demonstration of cryotube thawing.
NB: This course will require animal manipulation and the handling of liquid nitrogen.
