Andrés Castillo
deniscaroAndrés was born in Concepción, Chile in 1994. He completed his bachelor degree in Geophysics from Universidad de Concepción in 2017. During his academic formation, he developed a strong interest in atmospheric sciences, particularly in subjects related to climate, atmosphere-ocean interaction and hydrology. He has participated in many courses of speciality in Chile. Andrés did an internship in the Antarctic Chilean Institute (INACH) where he contributed in the climate analysis and the validation of atmospheric products for the Magallanes’s region. He also participated in the fifth vertion of the congress of Physic Oceanography, Meteorology and Climatology.

Andrés joined the Glaciology team of CECs in August 2018 to collaborate in the study of glacier-atmosphere-lake interaction in O’Higgins Glacier, located in the Southern Patagonian Icefield, witch is his undergraduate thesis’s proyect under the tutelage of PhD. Andrés Rivera.
