Pamela Sandoval Print
Pamela earned her undergrad degree in Biochemistry from the Universidad Austral de Chile and her Ph.D. in Genetics from Texas A&M University, USA. During her graduate studies she worked with Geoffrey Kapler focusing on the characterization of a unique response to DNA damage during S phase of Tetrahymena cell cycle. For her postdoctoral research, she joined Mariusz Nowacki lab at the University of Bern, Switzerland. There, she characterized new factors (proteins and non-coding small RNAs) involved in mechanisms of genome editing in unicellular eukaryotic model system. Currently, Pamela is joining Felipe Barros team to support the developing of metabolic biosensors.
