We study glacier variations, the glacier-flow dynamics and their relation to climate change. Our primary geographical focus areas are Occidental Antarctica, the Antarctic Peninsula, the Patagonia Icefields in Chile, the Lakes District and the Central Andes. In our laboratory we are currently using methods that include terrain studies (GPS, radar), airborne exploration (GPS, radar, laser altimetry) and satellite image analysis (visible, infrared and radar specter) .
