Pedro Alvarez
THEORETICAL
PHYSICS
Pedro was born in Santiago, Chile, and studied physics at the University of Santiago de Chile, where also obtained a Ph.D. under the supervision of Mikhail Plyushchay, in 2009. His thesis focuses on conformal symmetry and supersymmetries of exotic Newton-Hooke and the noncommutative Landau problem. Currently, Pedro is extending his research towards related topics like the nonrelativistic AdS/CFT correspondence, some condensed matter models with conformal symmetry and also to supergravity.
