Hideki Maeda
THEORETICAL
PHYSICS
Hideki Maeda was born in Tokyo, Japan, and studied physics at International Christian University in Tokyo. He obtained a PhD from Waseda university, Tokyo, under the supervision of Kei-ichi Maeda, in 2003. After being a research assistant (2002-2004) and a visiting lecturer (2004-2007) at Waseda, he joined CECS as a research fellow in 2007 and became an associate researcher in 2009. His research focuses on gravity in and even beyond general relativity. Especially, his interest is a dynamical aspect of gravity and he has been working on gravitational collapse and cosmic censorship, cosmological models, and dynamical black holes. His recent interest also includes Lovelock gravity in higher dimensions.
