We are interested in understanding phenomena occurring in the cell membrane, the border that separates the cell and its environment. We experiment with proteins that allow cells to transfer information through this membrane. We apply techniques used in electrophysiology, fluorescence confocal microscopy, molecular biology and functional genomics to study how the structure and function of these proteins affect both the cell and the organism physiology.
