On October 27, 2010 will be inaugurated the II International symposium, “Reconstructing Climate Variations in South America and the Antarctic Peninsula over the last 2000 years”. The program includes 96 presentations between oral and posters, from specialists coming from 15 countries, including Southern and Northern America as well as Europe. We have confirmed more than 150 assistants, and we expect a successful event. We invite all of you to follow this event trough this web page.

The inauguration Icebreaker will take place on Wednesday October 27 at 19:00 hrs, at Centro de Estudios Científicos, Arturo Prat 514, Valdivia.

On Thursday October 28 at 9:00 hrs, will take place the inauguration of the symposium at Centro de Estudios Científicos. Then the oral and posters presentations will take place until 19:30 hrs. On Friday October 29 at 9:00 hrs, will continue the oral and poster presentations until 19:00 hrs.

On Saturday October 30 at 9:00 hrs, will continue the presentations until midday when the closing session will take place. Then, at 13:00 hrs will begin the boat trip trough Calle-Calle River down to Peninsula San Ramón, where a barbecue-lunch will take place, estimating the end of the activity, back in Valdivia by 18:00 hrs.
